Unless invited these events are for EastTex Regional CERT members and Affiliates of Rowlett Citizen Corps Council Only.

ETRC Tent and Medical

EastTex CERT members have been asked to provide emergency communications support, medical tent, walk-around security, and some other roles is there are enough ETRC volunteers.

We will be meeting at the Terrell Chamber of Commerce.

We need volunteers for both days for the following schedules:

Saturday: 8:30am to 3:00pm and 3:00pm to 9:00pm
Sunday:  3pm – 8pm

Stop the Bleed – Hunt County @ Location TBD

This class is for anyone interested in learning on how to treat wounds.

Description:

A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss in as little as 5 minutes.

Bystanders can take simple steps to keep the injured person alive until appropriate medical care is available. Therefore, bystander intervention can be crucial to saving a life.

“Stop the Bleed” is a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to act quickly and save lives. Our two-hour program is led by trained professionals that teach the skills so that people can help save lives.

The class will address how to stop the bleed from all types of trauma.
